Borobudur Temple, Mountain with Thousand Relief

A huge 34,5 meter high and 123 meter square widely of rock was built by king of Ancient Mataram, King Samaratungga of Syailendra Dynasty. Borobudur located in Central Java, one hours away from Jogjakarta city. Approximately 40 kilometers northwest of Jogjakarta,Passing away to Borobudur, hundreds hectares of rice field being a beautiful landscape of Java Island.

Borobudur built as for Buddhists’s ritual, there are 1460 reliefs carved from bottom to top about the way being a buddha. It’s a mountain statue with 10 level of high that represent as 10 ways of Boddhisatwa wisdom or Hhumtcambharabudara. Rocks constructed temple, jointed each other from botom to the top. It’s a massive rock building.

Elo River Rafting

With the exotic location, Elo river offers challenging and beautiful panorama while your  adrenalin rushin fast in a rafting action along the river. Surely, there’s no thing better than this, for you to get a sensational feeling in this river.

The level of Elo River rafting is II – III rapids are safe enough for beginners. With stream switft water and big rocks within the river, it will take 2.5 hours to finish this 12.5 km river’s journey.  Fair enough for gut’s testing even to people  who’s never been  in river rafting.

Cap Go meh, The Singkawang Symphony

This is the buzzing atmosphere of the town of Singkawang, in West Kalimantan Province, toward the climax of Cap Go Meh, the 15th day of the Chinese New Year. The town has the highest population of Chinese descendants in Indonesia, most of whom speak the Chinese dialect of Hakka.

Cap Go Meh has been a Tionghua, or Chinese-Indonesian, tradition in Singkawang since the Dutch era. But people from other ethnic backgrounds are also involved in the preparations. There are also tatungs from the Dayak and Malay tribes.

The tatung rituals, which involve the piercing of men’s faces and bodies by weapons in order to banish evil spirits, are the main attraction and play a major part in the celebrations. However, this year they are also a cause for concern.

Labuhan Merapi

The Labuhan Merapi Ceremony is held one day after the Commemoration of the Sultan’s coronation. The Labuhan Ceremony is held on the 30th of Javanese month. On the same day, Labuhan Parangkusumo, threw the holy gifts to the sea.

The ritual is a tribute to Prince Sapujagat, ruler of Mount Merapi. The procession starts from the hamlet of Kinahrejo at 6:30 am, at Mbah Marijan’s home, and traveled up and misty approximately two hours towards Bangsal Sri Maganti (vegetation boundery) the location of labuhan procession.

Menjangan, The Silent Island

8 kilometres off the north west coast in Barat National Park lies Deer Island, or Menjangan, one of the more popular Bali scuba diving destinations. Due to its protected location, waves are rarely a problem and the visibility is occasionally mind blowing.

Menjangan’s walls drop down to 30 metres on the south coast and 60 metres to the east. They are decorated with an enormous proliferation of gorgonian fans, pink, purple, green, yellow, orange, and some very large specimens too

All diving trips to Menjangan leave from Labuhan Lalang, a small jetty on the Bali mainland. 8 metre simple park service boats must be used for transportation to the island.

Lembeh, world class Muck Diving

Lembeh Island is an island in the administrative area of the City of Bitung in North Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. Lembeh island today is administratively divided into two districts namely North and Sub Lembeh Lembeh South. The island is famous for being a foreign tourist dive sites in North Sulawesi Bunaken besides. The island is separated from the mainland to the island of Sulawesi by Lembeh Strait.

Lembeh strait has gained a reputation of being the world’s No. 1 place for divers interested in odd and rare macro fauna.

Merapi, The Chronicle of Volcano

Mount Merapi, (Gunung Merapi) is a conical volcano located on the border between Central Java and Yogyakarta, Indonesia. It is the most active volcano in Indonesia and has erupted regularly since 1548. It is very close to the city of Yogyakarta. In February -  May 2006 Merapi Mountain on its fire.

Being a volcano mountain in thousands year, Merapi Mountain has a beautiful landscapes and nature. It’s the best place for trekking in June-August. You may start from Kinahrejo Village, trekking steep path for 8 hours to the top or start from Selo Village for 5 hours.  If you lucky, Semeru Mountain which is highest mountain in the Java Island, will be appear on its top. The trekking path dominated with 45 degree path rocks. It’s an extra ordinary volcano trekking. In the top, you will see volcano eruption in the closest view ever. It’s a beautiful deadly mountain.
